Catherine Higgins Whiteside is the Senior Vice President of Marketing and
Communications at Sunrise Banks, based in St. Paul. She is responsible for creating
and executing strategic marketing programs that build brand awareness and loyalty for
Sunrise Banks and its mission to improve financial wellness for all. Catherine leads the
creative, brand and performance marketing, internal/external communications, website
and marketing analytics functions.

Prior to joining Sunrise Banks, Catherine served as Vice President, Marketing, for
Radisson Hotels Americas. There, she built strategic marketing programs to drive
consumer awareness, increase brand loyalty and deliver exceptional guest experiences
for Radisson Hotel brands throughout the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the
Caribbean.

Catherine’s additional leadership experience includes senior roles at Anchor Bank,
Wells Fargo, and organizations in the nonprofit and health/wellness industries.

Catherine earned her MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of
Management and her B.A. in Communications and Spanish from the College of St.
Benedict in St. Joseph, Minn. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and daughter.

When not marketing, you can find Catherine digging in her garden, walking her dog
around a Minneapolis lake, or enjoying the local arts scene.
