Hotel Information: The National Housing Center is located in downtown, Washington D.C., within walking distance of a variety of hotels offering rooms at a wide range of price points. We invite you to explore some of the options in our “Hotel Options List.” Please note that CDBA has not arranged a room block at any individual hotels for this event.
Attire: Business casual for all Peer Forum activities

  • June 12: Sessions from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET
  • June 12: Cocktail reception at 6:30 pm ET followed by dinner at 7:30 pm ET

Vice President, Fair Lending and CRA Officer
Ralph D. Carter serves as the Senior Vice President, Director of CDFI, Fair Lending,
and CRA Officer at BankFirst Financial Services. BankFirst is a $2.8 billion
community bank based in Macon, Mississippi, with 46 locations in Mississippi and
Alabama. He oversees the CDFI program for both BankFirst Financial Services and
BankFirst Capital Corporation. BankFirst has been a CDFI since 2010 and has
received more than $230 million in CDFI-related funding. Along with being
responsible for CDFI activities, he is responsible for leading a strong and robust
fair lending program and the bank’s overall CRA program.

Ralph is involved in his community as Treasurer for the Columbus-Lowndes
Habitat for Humanity, Club President of the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, Deacon of
Finance for Columbus Church of Christ, and Regional Trustee for the La-Miss-Tenn
Kiwanis District. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Columbus, MS, with their three
children, Cassie (17), Collin (11), and Cannon (4).
